Business Phone Systems
For years, we’ve offered high-performance business ISDN lines with crystal clear connections. But with a switch-off planned for 2025, is it still the right choice for your business?
Get expert advice from the team at Croft and collaborate more efficiently with next-generation technology.
Are ISDN lines the right choice for my business?
ISDN (Integrated Service Digital Network) is being phased out over the next few years, so it may not be the right choice for everyone.
If you're a new business
If you’re just starting out in business, there are better options to consider than ISDN. While it’s been providing high-quality voice services since 1986, broadband internet now offers a faster connection and better performance.
You’re technically still able to get ISDN lines installed until the end of 2020, but it’s no longer the fastest or highest quality way to connect. For clients looking for a new phone system, we’d recommend hosted VoIP.
If you're an existing ISDN user
If you’re already using ISDN and your contract is up for renewal, it’s probably time for a rethink, but the answer isn’t one size fits all. What’s right for one business might not work for another.
At Croft, we tailor all of our services to each individual organisation, and we’re experts in providing bespoke services based on what our clients really need. We’ll talk to you about how you currently communicate with your team and your customers and come up with a package designed to help you maximise your efficiency and improve productivity.
The big switch-off
What’s happening with existing ISDN lines?
ISDN is about to become a legacy system, with a switch-off planned in 2025.
So, if your ISDN contract is up for renewal soon, it’s worth thinking carefully about your options. This is an excellent time to reassess your businesses telephone and internet usage, and plan a better, more cost-effective and efficient way of working.
Make the switch to hosted VoIP
With a switch-off planned for 2025, it could be time for an upgrade to hosted VoIP and SIP trunking. It can be daunting to make a big change, but we’ll help you plan the switch so it all runs smoothly.
When does your current contract end?
This is important to help you plan your switchover. Give yourself enough time to get everything implemented – which probably means getting your plans in place now.
Do you have enough bandwidth?
With VoIP technology relying on a fast and reliable internet connection, you might need to upgrade. Don’t worry though, our team can advise on this too!
What are your businesses telecoms needs?
You might not be aware of all the technology that’s available to help you work efficiently, so it’s worth having a chat with an expert, who can make suggestions to streamline your working processes.
